We keep a small selection of free magazines at the entrance to our London shop, and a regular highlight is food magazine Slop. We asked its co-founder Jack Stanley to introduce the magazine and describe how the free model can work financially. He explains this and more as he shares his working week.

 

Launching a magazine to showcase your typefaces may sound like an excuse for some easy content and over-exhuberent design, but London type foundry Sociotype have managed to produce a serious publication that intelligently displays their type work.
